 | 10:01 pm - what the fuck, Tom Hanks? today i found out that my entire childhood has been a lie. as some of you 90s kids might remember, there was this movie That Thing You Do! starring Tom Hanks (who also wrote and directed the movie) Liv Tyler, Steve Zahn, Tom Everett Scott (that guy is so involuntarily cool and wears a pair of shades quite well) and *sigh* Jonathan Schaech. oh and also Ethan Embry, the cutest man who ever lived cause he was in Empire Records (a cult classic that doesn't get enough credit. also stars Liv Tyler-weird) and surprisingly Renee Zelwigger.
come on people, don't tell me you don't remember.
but i digress-back to why my childhood has been a lie. this movie That Thing You Do! is about this fictional band during the British Invasion called The Wonders and their hit song obviously called "That Thing You Do" propelled them into stardom.

Now, the actual song was a hit in real life, cause it's so damn catchy.
My entire life I naively thought Jonathan Schaech sang the lead vocals because he did in the movie and i thought he just happen to have a nice voice. beauty, acting chops, and a good voice-come on, he's no Zac Efron (duh-duh duh *drum cymbals*) i should've known. ANYWAY, the vocals were actually sung by Mike Viola of the Candy Butchers-oh you haven't heard of them? that's okay nobody has. but i did look them up and they do have a catchy sound-kinda sounds like a poor man's Fastball.

 | 05:16 pm - hilario http://www.hulu.com/watch/28343/dr-horribles-sing-along-blog
Okay, so recently all my time has been occupied by watching Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. if you haven't watched it, watch it. you will not regret it.
it just came on the internet two weeks ago. i read this article in Entertainment Weekly about how a couple of people got together and wrote this during the writer's strike cause there was nothing else to do (so it's a little random, but yuo know, that's so up my alley)
It stars a couple of slightly famous people who were out of work during the dreaded Writer's Strike of 08'. it stars Neil Patrick Harris, who i had recognized from How I Met Your Mother and I am convinced he was the older brother on Malcolm in the Middle. when in actuality, it was this guy:

but you can see how alike they look.

after watching this video, i have developed a crush on Neil Patrick Harris because he's adorable. plus, i think he might have tourette's cause he keeps blinking weirdly, which would make him even cuter. i also can't believe he's gay. i don't accept it. just like how i still can't accept that Anderson Cooper is gay. both are way too straight to be gay (accept that they both are extremely well dressed. Anderson Cooper in New Orleans covering Hurricane Katrina in Prada) i refuse to believe it.
but if it makes anyone feels better, both their boyfriends are gorgeous.

 | 07:02 pm - advice alright bitches, so my cousin came over like an hour ago cause she knows that we have been having some money problems, so she came over and brought me 2 prom dresses that she wore when she was in high school. (she's a sophomore in college now). i'm stoked that i get two prom dresses for FREE! and they fit, and they're Cache. ritzy.
the only thing is that they're both like princess dresses and LOADED with beading. i don't really know if they're me. so here's what they look like:
here's the first one-it's very Cinderella-esce

 here's the beading
when she came over, i was cleaning my room, so i had my 2-Pac rag on. i know-i look ghetto as hell.

the only thing is that it's a little bit too big and needs to be taken in
also, i might take it up-it's floor length and i don't know if ima feelin that shit.

okay, so here's the other one:
 here's the beading.

as you can see, she gave me the dress with some tears, but i can fix that.

so what do you guys think? should i fix one of the dresses and to wear to Prom next year or should i try and get a new dress really cheap? i just don't know if im into the beading--and i can't decide if i like them or if they're too Vegas showgirl-y. they're either really pretty or really tacky. i know that sounds weird. either way, im not gonna wear either one to Junior prom cause i feel like they might be a little much. but i think that they might be okay for next year.
then again, two free prom dresses from Cache is a pretty sweet deal. i don't know what to do.

 | 09:20 pm - OH MY FUCKING GOD! look at this-i pretty much freaked out. http://www.etonline.com/news/2008/04/60435/index.html
his hair is so SEXY!!!!! i truly cannot wait for December for this movie to come out. it needs to come out now. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
okay, also some new casting:
Jacob Black: Taylor Lautner

what a deuchebag. he's not even Native American, not even latino, not even italian. he's of french background with a good tan. what the christ is he doing playing Jacob Black? i was rooting for this guy-Tyler Posey.
 yumm
Charlie: Billy Burke
i think this is a good choice, but that's all i really have to say about him,
Mike Newton: Michael Welch

i think this is a fantastic choice. this is the kid from Joan of Arcadia if anyone knows what I'm talking about.he's gonna be perfect.
Eric: Justin Chon

i couldn't really care less about this role cause it's really small. i mean Eric gets hit by a car and is in the hospital. bfd, but he's asian, so that automatically makes him AWESOME.
Angela: Christian Serratos (Angela's the nice one right?)

again, don't really have much of an opinion cause it's such a small role. she almost reminds me of Jen Crystle. check out this photo and you'll agree. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm789093120/nm1589312
Billy Black: Gil Birmingham

awesome-an actual actor of Native American decent. i kinda feel bad though cause Native American actors only get cast as Indians. that must suck. like look at his resume on imbd-some of the titles include California Indian, Turok: Son of Stone, "Charmed" as Indian Chief, End of the Spear, "Into the West", Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun----jesus, this poor guy. he's like the go-to Indian actor.
they haven't changed their minds about Elizabeth Reaser as Esme. (Barf)
Laurent: Edi Gathegi

i think it's a good choice. again, the casting directors could've gone in any direction with these characters cause the roles are so small.
Victoria: Rachelle Lefevre

good choice, but her hair needs to be redder. oh wait-Victoria and Laurent are like boyfriend-girlfriend right? interracial relationships-you go Summit Entertainment. good for you!
Rene: Sarah Clarke
she looks like the free-spirited mom type.
overall, i think good choices, except for Jacob Black, which i'm pissed about, but what ru gonna do? hopefully, that Taylor guy will try not to suck too much in the movie.
peace.

My translation of the cast:
Peter Facinelli as Carlisle
acting chops: Can't Hardly Wait, Law and Order, Riding in Cars with Boys, Dancing with the Stars, Fastlane, Scorpion King-basically a bunch of low-budg movies and tv episodes, nothing too impressive but he is a hottie! but then again, he does not look good as a blonde (5th one from the left in the picture below) my opinion: I think this is a good choice, he looks very fatherly and i can totally see him in this role as a doctor. but again, i really hate the blonde hair-it looks way too unnatural. then again, i guess that's part of the role-to look inhuman. hmm... we shall see...
Elizabeth Reaser as Esme
acting chops: everybody knows her from Grey's Anatomy but she was also in The Family Stone (which was a pretty good movie) and one episode of Scrubs---not bad my opinion: i never liked this chick-didn't like her on Grey's Anatomy and i didn't like her in the Family Stone, but i can see how she would be a good mother-there's something about her that is very maternal-but a vampire? definately not. it's gonna sound shallow, but Esme needs to be GORGEOUS and almost regal, and Elizabeth Reaser does not seem right for the role. plus i pictured her as taller. at least as tall as Carslile. bad choice--i don't care what anyone says.
Jackson Rathbone as Jasper
acting chops: not that anyone gives a flying fuck, but to be fair--he was on the short-lived series Beautiful People (i remember watching it and thinking, "What a pussy") and he was on the O.C. for half a second and some other random shit my opinion: i hate this casting choice. he looks like a chick. super feminine. not like a sexy ass Vampire at all. none of the swave-ness of Jasper. plus isn't Jasper supposed to be older? and does this man look like he went through the damn Civil War. i don't fuckin think so. . plus he looks even gayer (literally not just to be funny, he looks like a flamer with that blonde Rachael- from-Friends-in-the-90's-haircut. last one from the left in the picture.bad choice.
Nikki Reed as Rosalie
acting chops: Mini's First Time and Thirteen (pretty intense movies-she has my respect for doing such a good job with both roles-it shows that she's got the skillz), again The O.C. (it seems everyone's on that show) and Lords of Dogtown--overall a pretty hefty portfolio-she should be good in this role cause all she has to do is look pretty and be a complete bitch-if she can do intense roles like in Thirteen and Mini's First Time, then she can definately do a good job with this movie) my opinion: okay, first of all, is the chick in the pictures for Twilight and the girl in the pictures above even the same person? she looks TOTALLY different. (second person from the left in the official photo) see what pancake make-up and hair dye can do? apparently wonders. i think she could do a good job with this role. overall, good choice.
Ashley Greene as Alice http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1786941440/nm2230865 (couldn't find a photo of this chick, so here's a link) acting chops: not much, she's relatively new to the acting scene-a model before she got into acting, the only thing that anyone would recognize is that she played someone's girlfriend on an episode of Punked! this movie might propell her into more acting roles. it might be her debut performance to go on to do better things. we'll see. my opinion: well, she's definately pretty enough. i have know idea if she can act, but she definately looks the part. (except for that bad wig she's wearing-or maybe it's just a bad haircut. but it'll probably look better in the movie. she's the second to last one from the left in the picture at the top)
Kellan Lutz as Emmett

(last one in the picture from the left) it was hard to find a picture of this guy with a shirt on. but just for kicks and hormones...

GOOD LORD! okay, acting chops: i remember seeing him in a couple of episodes of Heroes, Accepted, Stick It!, and a couple of shallow teenage tv shows like Summerland and soap operas my opinion: despite his roles in kinda shallow movies, i think this is a perfect casting choice. i mean look at him in the official photo of Twilight (last one in the picture) he looks like a sexy vampire in the photo. he's got the right haircut, and god knows he's got the right body. i think this is the only casting choice that was DEAD ON. i think he'll be perfect for Emmett-that kind of strong and testosterone-driven guy. he's perfect for this role.
let me just make a quick comment on Robert Pattinson, the guy who's gonna play Edward-the guy in the center of all the pictures: i don't like him as Edward-i think that the casting directors could have gotten someone better looking and a better actor. HOWEVER, i am forcing myself to keep an open mind. i'll judge when we see the movie. i'm just really excited they finally cast the movie. now i just want them to cast Jacob. i literally cannot even wait. i'm beside myself with excitement.
peace.

 | 07:58 pm - Sunday night sucks
UUHH! It's Sunday night. Just got back from a volleyball tournament and I'm in a weird mood. My feet hurt like hell. I hope I don't wind up like one of those old ladies who has to wear orthopedic shoes. UHHHH. Shoot, I don't care how uncomfortable those shoes are, they are just too ugly for me. I'll be wearing pumps at 95 years old. I don't care. Anyway, it's snowing, so it's all good. I hope we don't have school tomorrow, but that's probably not going to happen because that would just be too convenient. I hate high school.
